Direct Support Professional

We are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team. The Direct Support Professional will be responsible for providing direct support and care to individuals with disabilities. An ideal candidate is detail oriented, highly capable, and has a passion for supporting individuals with varying abilities. The right candidate will have extensive experience working with people on the autism spectrum, related disabilities, complex medical issues and behavioral concerns. Shift is Wednesday/Thursday 3p-6:30p

Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and clients throughout the duration of the individual's life. Promote the program's philosophy and function to others. Take appropriate action to alleviate a challenging behavior when necessary. Advocate for each individual's rights, freedoms, and responsibilities in accordance with program policies and procedures. Provide support or therapeutic services to individuals who may be impaired by injury or disability, or who have a chronic mental illness. Work as part of a team and coordinate services with other agencies when appropriate.
