Job Description

Hiring Lead Direct Support Professional in rural Bellevue Ohio area. Overtime is paid on any hours over 40 in a week. (Time and a half pay) Day Shifts, afternoon shifts and night shifts. Every other weekend off, however necessary to cover open shifts could result in working outside of this schedule when needed. We are a 7 days a week operation. If any overnight hours are picked up, there is a sleep rate between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. of $15.00 and yes, you get to sleep during those hours! The rate of pay for the regular DSP position is $18.00 an hour for any hours worked outside of the hours of Midnight to 6:00 am; employees may sleep during those hours and the rate of pay for the sleep shift is $15.00 an hour. Get paid as you go! No more waiting 2 weeks for pay day. You may access a portion of your net pay up to 3 times throughout the pay period in addition to your paycheck. Position Overview The Lead Direct Support Professional (Lead DSP) plays a crucial role in the team, led by the Administrator (DOO) and the President/CEO.
Location:
Elyria Ohio Supportive Living Home. This is a critical position requiring on-site work at an assigned home. Local workday travel with occasional regional, workday travel for meetings, events, conferences and/or to assist with consumer needs throughout, primarily, northern Ohio. Mileage reimbursement is provided for all company-related travel outside of the daily commute to/from home and primary work location. Overnight travel is extremely rare and voluntary. Emergency calls/messages may be after usual office hours. While many emergencies can be addressed by phone/video during off hours, occasionally, the Lead DSP may need to report in-person to assigned homes to assist in these situations. Participates in a regular rotation of being the designated weekend on-call contact for homes and must be accessible during these times.
Overview:
Provides care and services to consumers with intellectual/developmental disabilities in supportive living homes. Provides mentoring and leadership to peer Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the assigned home. Assists the Supportive Living Manager in ensuring assigned homes comply with Ohio DODD and Medicaid Certification standards and regulations as an agency provider of waiver services. Inspires and leads staff by example, showing positivity and involving them in the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. Physical Job requirements:
Exerting/lifting/carrying 25 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently, or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Walking up and down stairs.
