Part-Time Shannon's Community Homes is currently seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the Fremont, Ohio area. This is a part-time weekday position ideal for someone looking to make a positive impact while working consistent afternoon hours. We are looking for staff members who are reliable, patient, professional, and committed to helping individuals live safely and successfully in their homes and communities.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Assisting individuals with daily living activities Providing supervision and support in the home and community Encouraging independence and life skills development Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping as needed Supporting community outings and recreational activities Monitoring behaviors and ensuring a safe environment Documenting services and completing required notes accurately Following individual care plans and company policies Maintaining professionalism with families, guardians, and team members

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral support is preferred but not required Must be dependable and consistently on time for scheduled shifts Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in various situations Must have reliable transportation Must be able to pass required background checks High school diploma or GED preferred
