This vital role offers an opportunity to provide respectful, attentive, and personalized care in various settings, including assisted living facilities, group homes, and home health environments. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will empower clients to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life through dedicated caregiving and support. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Support medication administration following prescribed schedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and update records regularly Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely assist with mobility and heavy lifting tasks Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring environment that promotes well-being and social engagement Qualifications Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs effectively Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required; additional certifications like Alzheimer's or dementia care are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or memory care needs is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate equipment (e.g., Hoyer lift) when necessary Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward diverse populations Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings as needed Join us in delivering exceptional care that enriches lives!
