Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other related needs, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home health or community care, with experience working with individuals with disabilities. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Support individuals in community integration by facilitating social interactions and participation in recreational activities. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made towards goals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care. Qualifications Experience in home health, community care, or similar fields is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is a plus. Ability to administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving. is beneficial but not mandatory. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client visits.
