Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Your energetic approach will help create a supportive environment where clients feel valued and empowered. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in patient care, community support, and caregiving while working in a dynamic and rewarding setting. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA guidelines to ensure safety and compliance Support clients with meal preparation, cooking, and nutrition needs to promote healthy living Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident's to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy regulations like HIPAA and facility policies Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, or hospice care is a plus Experience with patient monitoring, medication administration, and care planning enhances your suitability for this role Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or nursing assistant credentials are beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment is essential Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members are necessary for success Join us to be part of a compassionate team committed to enriching lives through dedicated support. Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
