  • Temporary, Part-time, Full-time, Contract Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs.

Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare providers. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote proper nutrition. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces in compliance with health standards. Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being. Document care activities accurately, including patient monitoring, incident reports, and updates to care plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA. Skills Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, and hospice or end-of-life care practices. Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience with patient observation and monitoring is highly valued. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers. Compassionate attitude with patience for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in working with seniors or those requiring long-term care is preferred.
