Direct Support Professional

Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity Observe for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, assist with feeding when necessary, and maintain cleanliness in the living environment Document care activities meticulously, including patient observations, progress notes, and incident reports Engage individuals in social activities and community outings to foster socialization and community integration Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for patient care Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health or behavior Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, families, and healthcare professionals Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed Join us as a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals through compassionate caregiving.
