Direct Support Professional Macedonia

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities and promoting their independence. Your commitment to patient care and understanding of their unique needs will make a significant difference in their lives. Client is an adult female with Dementia. Needs transfer from bed to wheelchair and and from wheelchair to recliner using gait belt. Client will need Depends changed. Meals are prepared by mom/family but fed by DSP Client is non-violent and non-verbal 21.5 hours/week Schedule is as follows:

Monday:

5:00P.M.-7:30 P.M.

Tuesday:

4:00P.M.-7:30P.M.

Wednesday:

4:00P.M.-7:30P.M.

Saturday:

9:00A.M.-12:00P.M. and 4:00P.M.-7:30P.M.

Sunday:

9:00A.M.-12:00P.M. and 5:00P.M.-7:30P.M. Duties Assist client with personal hygiene. Bath her while in bed and change depend Provide patient monitoring and observation to ensure safety and well-being. Feed her meal after it prepared by her mom/family Implement care plans tailored to individual needs Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization of shared spaces. Document client progress and any changes in condition while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide mobility support including assistance in wheelchair for safety and balance Must meet all Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Background in caregiving, home health, assisted living, or long-term care is advantageous. Up to date DSP certificate is required Up to date First Aid and CPR certificate is required. Familiarity with patient care techniques including lifting and patient observation is essential. Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions as needed. Must be 18+ years old Must have reliable vehicle Valid drivers license and valid car insurance 5 point or less on driving record Must have High School Diploma/G.E.D or college transcripts Background check required A compassionate approach towards individuals requiring support in their daily lives.
