Job Description

LOOKING FOR A 2ND SHIFT EMPLOYEE
Job Overview As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. Your primary focus will be to provide compassionate care and support while promoting independence and personal growth. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others. Duties Assist client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to client's needs and goals. Provide support in social activities and community engagement to foster inclusion and independence. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Document client progress and any changes in behavior or health status accurately. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care. Assist with heavy lifting as necessary to support clients with mobility challenges. Perform CPR and first aid when required, ensuring the safety of all individuals under your care. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients. Certification in CPR is required Compassionate caregiving skills that promote dignity, respect, and independence for clients. Experience in home care or group home settings is an advantage. Requirements First Aid/CPR Certification (if not currently held, will schedule and pay for the class and certification). Valid Driver's License Valid Full-Coverage Automotive Insurance DSP Certification (8-Hour Online Class) HS diploma or GED Must be able to pass a background check Medical Certification 1 may be needed (we will schedule and pay for the class)
Pay:
From $17.50 per hour
