Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations Support medication administration and ensure care plans are followed precisely to meet each individual's unique needs Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and maintain cleanliness of living spaces to promote a safe and healthy environment Engage clients in social activities and community outings to foster social skills and independence Document care activities thoroughly, including patient observations and progress notes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards Respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral challenges using first aid skills and de-escalation techniques Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living, or long-term care environments with individuals who have developmental disabilities or dementia Strong knowledge of patient care practices including Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice support, and autism support strategies Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Excellent patient observation skills to monitor health status and recognize signs requiring medical attention or intervention Familiarity with medication administration procedures and maintaining accurate care documentation Competency in basic first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response protocols Compassionate communication skills tailored to working with seniors or individuals with disabilities while respecting their dignity and privacy Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
