In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, or other health needs. Your energy and empathy will help empower residents to live fulfilling lives while promoting independence and well-being. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve through engaging caregiving and attentive support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams promptly Prepare nutritious meals and snacks aligned with individual dietary plans while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support residents during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and community integration Maintain a safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and adherence to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in resident care plans and participate in team meetings to coordinate personalized support strategies Skills Proven experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs, CPR certification, first aid skills, and dementia or Alzheimer's care expertise Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory impairments Strong caregiving skills including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, meal preparation, and patient observation Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of resident information Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility needs using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's assistance tools Compassionate communication skills to foster trust and positive relationships with residents and their families This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment.
