Deliver compassionate and convenient care to the highest level of excellence that promotes lifelong health and wellness for our community The Personal Care Assistant assists older people who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired and need 24-hour oversight. The Personal Care Assistant's role is to assist residents with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering at all times residents' independence and freedom of choice. All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy or assisted living.Reports to:
Personal Care Coordinator Education, Licensure, Registration and Experience:
Must be able to think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations. Must be self-motivated and function as an "in charge person." Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances. Must be able to work flexible hours and participate in holiday activities. CPR certification. First Aid State Tested Nursing Assistant in Ohio preferred.Essential Functions:

Standards of Employment:
Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance. Appearance is professional, neat, clean, and appropriate for the work environment. Wears proper photo identification badge while on duty. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times, as observed by peers and management. Attends monthly staff meetings and participates in monthly rounding process with manager to assure effective and timely two-way communications. Participates in and completes required department specific education and training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to department safety and specific job-related hazards. Follows safety and security policies including exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.Core Requirements:
