Direct Support Professional Arrowed Hearts Parma, OH Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15.50 - $17.00 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Assisting with ADLs High school diploma or GED Driver's License Direct support Passenger pickup and drop-off Patient transport Bathing assistance Full Job Description Arrowed Hearts is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in leading safe, independent, and fulfilling lives. DSPs play a vital role in providing daily care, building meaningful relationships, and encouraging community involvement. Services are provided in Parma.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including meal preparation, personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming Support individuals in participating in community outings, social activities, and recreational events Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being Follow individualized care plans and document services as required Maintain a respectful, positive, and supportive environment Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to pass background checks and meet state requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required! Must be able to take client to and from doctor appointments, community outings, etc.
