As a DSP, you will assist individuals in achieving greater independence while helping them participate fully in their homes and communities. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) Support personal hygiene and personal care needs Assist with meal planning and meal preparation Help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment Provide transportation to medical appointments, shopping, work, and community activities Encourage socialization, community involvement, and recreational activities Assist individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals Promote independence, dignity, self-advocacy, and informed choice Complete required documentation and service notes accurately and timely Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served What We Offer Competitive starting wage $1.00/hour Weekend Differential Flexible scheduling Full-time and part-time positions Paid orientation and training Paid CPR and First Aid certification Mileage reimbursement at approved rates Paid travel between client locations (when applicable) Holiday pay Employee referral bonus opportunities Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Meaningful work that makes a difference every day Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Proof of automobile insurance Ability to pass BCI/FBI criminal background checks Ability to work independently and responsibly Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, dependable, and patient attitude Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Personal Care Assistant, Home Health Aide (HHA), State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), Community Support Worker, Behavioral Health Technician, or Human Services Professional Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral health needs No experience required—we will train the right candidate.
