Job Description
We are seeking a caring and dependable DSP to work one-on-one with a child with autism who has very high energy and benefits from structure, patience, and positive engagement. •A male DSP is preferred for this case, but female applicants are also welcome to apply.•The ideal candidate should enjoy working with children, be active, calm under pressure, and able to redirect behaviors in a respectful and supportive way. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support in the home and community Engage the child in age-appropriate activities Support daily routines, safety, and supervision Use patience and positive redirection when needed Encourage independence, communication, and social skills Maintain professional communication with the family and agency Document services as required Ideal Candidate Has experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities Is energetic, patient, dependable, and compassionate Can keep up with a very active child Remains calm during challenging moments Understands the importance of safety and structure Has strong communication skills Male DSP preferred, but female DSPs are welcome to apply Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license preferred Reliable transportation Must pass background checks CPR/First Aid preferred or willing to obtain DSP or caregiving experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person Schedule Day Shift (Mon-Fri)
