Our mission is to provide person-centered support that promotes independence, dignity, safety, and meaningful daily living. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals reach their goals, maintain routines, and participate in their communities while receiving the support they need. Responsibilities Provide direct support based on each individual's needs, preferences, and Individual Service Plan (ISP) Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation Support individuals during community outings, appointments, recreational activities, and social engagement Encourage independence, skill-building, and participation in daily routines Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful home environment Monitor for changes in behavior or health and report concerns promptly Complete accurate daily documentation and required service notes Follow all company policies, DODD regulations, and HIPAA requirements Administer medications only as permitted by certification and delegation status Communicate professionally with team members, guardians, nurses, and county staff Support and protect the rights, dignity, and safety of each individual served Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Ability to pass required background checks CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Completion of Ohio 8-Hour DSP Training or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required Strong communication, patience, and reliability Ability to assist with lifting, transfers, standing, and mobility support when needed What We're Looking For We're looking for team members who genuinely care about people and want to make a difference.
