Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team at Notre Dame Services LLC, as a Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting residents in group homes, assisted living facilities, or through home and community care, your efforts will empower individuals to thrive in a nurturing environment. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while fostering positive relationships and enhancing quality of life. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patients' health status and reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance as needed Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, assist with feeding when required, and maintain cleanliness in dining areas Implement individualized care plans designed by healthcare teams to meet each resident's unique needs Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote mental stimulation and socialization Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, cleaning routines, and safety procedures Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient mobility assistance Strong communication skills coupled with patience and empathy for individuals with diverse needs Has Med Assistant certificate( if applicable) Must have qualifications Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are advantageous Valid background check clearance and willingness to adhere to all safety protocols Valid driver's license and a good driving record Must have a High school diploma Must complete Developmental Disability training and certification from DODD website Must live in Tiffin or around the area and can drive 30min minimum Join us in delivering compassionate support that transforms lives! Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
