Job Description

Job Overview As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for those in need. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management. Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe environment. Support clients with memory care techniques for those experiencing Alzheimer's or dementia. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice care. Skills Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status. Experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is preferred. Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems for effective medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology related to patient care. CPR certification and experience in catheter care are advantageous. Ability to work effectively with individuals requiring long-term care or home & community care experience. Proficient in cooking and meal preparation tailored to client dietary needs. Compassionate caregiving skills with a focus on senior care and home health practices. Understanding of cleaning protocols to maintain hygiene standards in client homes. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to providing high-quality personal care while fostering independence and dignity among clients in their own homes.
