741 Commerce Dr, Perrysburg, OH, 43551 Please bring a Driver's License and SS Card. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional's (DSP's) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our individuals by promoting independence and ensuring their rights are respected. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs. Follow all documentation guidelines for services provided to individuals, and any other assistance provided as outlined by Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) Accompany individuals to scheduled appointments and events, providing transportation to and from activities as needed. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals by monitoring their health and behavior. Advocate for individual rights and dignity in all aspects of care. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in the individual's status. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is delivered. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of DODD rules and regulations. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Understanding of resident rights and a commitment to advocating for them. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet the needs of our individuals.
Qualifications:
Have a high school diploma or GED. Must be 18 years or older. Valid driver's license in good standing w/less than 6 points. Proof of Insurance Med Cert I Able to pass a BCI/FBI background check. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. CPR/First Aid Certification. Physical ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 50 pounds. Must possess the ability to express patience in difficult situations
