Job Description

Overview HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City.
We provide compassionate trauma informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve. We are searching for a dedicated Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) to join our Intensive Outpatient Services Program. This individual will provide critical peer support, advocacy, and guidance to clients as they navigate their recovery journeys. If you have lived experience and are in active recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder, possess strong communication skills, and are passionate about empowering others, this position could be an excellent fit. About the Position As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist in our Intensive Outpatient Services Program, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals working towards recovery. In this role, you'll provide valuable peer support, advocate for clients, and connect them to resources that align with their personal recovery goals. You will work closely with clients to build coping strategies, access essential services, and navigate community resources. Through this position, you will gain experience in direct client support and professional collaboration, contributing to a recovery-focused, trauma-informed environment that encourages personal growth and long-term wellness. About the Program The Intensive Outpatient Services Program at HOPE Community Services, Inc. is designed to provide essential support for individuals in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. Our program emphasizes a trauma-informed, recovery-focused approach that respects each individual's unique journey. Through structured peer support, advocacy, and resource connections, we empower clients to build confidence, resilience, and independence. The program facilitates smooth transitions from higher to lower levels of service intensity, promoting sustainable recovery and personal growth. Our dedicated team works collaboratively to create a welcoming environment that supports each client's well-being and long-term success. Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification Demonstrated recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder HS Diploma or GED Driver's License and reliable transportation Skills Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients, employers, and colleagues. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals. Empathy and Compassion Must be efficient in managing multiple tasks, maintaining accurate records, and meeting deadlines.
