As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll empower individuals by teaching essential life skills, promoting independence, and supporting them in achieving their personal goals. Bonus Programs What You'll Do:
Engage groups of clients in planned activities and events that encourage socialization, inclusion, and meaningful friendships. Provide transportation and support clients as they participate in community events and explore their interests. Lead activities involving walking, hiking, and other physically engaging events to help clients stay active and healthy. Promote active community involvement, helping clients discover new hobbies and experiences. Model positive social interactions, clearly communicate expectations, and break down information into accessible steps. Maintain accurate, supportive documentation of client activities and progress.
Work Location & Schedule:
The work location for this position is in the Portland and surrounding areas, based on program events and client participation Part Time (minimum of 25 hours per week) Full Time (minimum of 30 hours per week) Tuesday through Saturday availability preferred, but not required Flexible schedule, late evening shift required on occasion based on program events
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old with a valid Driver's License. Genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact. Strong communication skills and a talent for creating inclusive environments. Ability to accurately complete written documentation using a computer or smartphone, demonstrating clear spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
