Choices for all, barriers for none. Home Life is a private, non-profit organization in Corvallis, Oregon, that provides safe, integrated community living services. We empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by offering support that enhances their quality of life.
Position Overview:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives. They help with daily living activities, foster skill development, and encourage community participation, promoting independence and personal growth. Key Responsibilities Follow individualized support plans to ensure safety and well-being. Assist Supported Individuals with personal care, including dressing, bathing, and hygiene, while promoting dignity. Support meal planning and preparation based on dietary needs. Help individuals achieve goals and foster independence in daily life. Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals to appointments, events, or activities. Administer medications and assist with healthcare needs, adhering to guidelines. Accurately document daily activities, progress, and incidents. Support behavior management and emotional regulation. Aid individuals in managing finances responsibly. Collaborate with families, team members, and medical professionals.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Ability to pass a criminal history check. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain professionalism. Commitment to continuous training and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in a related field. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Benefits for
Employees:
Paid Time Off (PTO): Eligible employees (20+ hours/week) accrue leave per hour worked from day one and may use it after the 91st calendar day.
Birthday and Holiday Leave:
Eligible staff (20+ hours/week) receive paid time off for their birthday and designated holidays. Retirement Plan - 403b: Employees can contribute immediately; after 2 years, Home Life matches contributions 50% up to $100/month for eligible employees.

Eligible staff (30+ hours/week) can enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance on the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
