Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, autism, and other health conditions. In this vital role, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your dedication will help foster a positive environment where individuals can thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through dedicated caregiving and support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient behavior, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Administer medications and follow care plans accurately. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness. Support residents during recreational activities, social outings, and community engagement to promote socialization and mental stimulation. Maintain a safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties, sanitizing common areas, and adhering to infection control protocols. Document all care activities thoroughly in resident records while respecting privacy laws such as HIPAA. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is preferred. No experience necessary however. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous but not necessary. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and follow detailed care plans. Experience with medication administration, patient monitoring, and understanding of HIPAA privacy standards is preferred but not necessary. Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those you serve. Join us in delivering compassionate care that transforms lives! This is more than just a job — it's an opportunity to bring comfort, dignity, and independence to individuals who need it most while building a rewarding career in healthcare support.
