Canine Care Assistant PupScrub Dog Wash and Grooming Gresham, OR Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 - $18 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Nail care Store closing procedures Cash register operations Dog handling Full Job Description We're looking for a Canine Care Assistant to join our passionate team at PupScrub Self Serve Dog Wash & Grooming. These Associates are a crucial part of our organization, building lasting relationships with customers and providing quality care to pets. This is a great opportunity for someone who's an animal lover and wants to get their start in the pet industry. Our ideal candidate can work independently while also working as a team, customer service-oriented, and genuinely cares about the well-being of both pets and people.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service to in-person grooming and self-wash clients as well as while answering phone inquires.
Maintain cleanliness of shop by:
disinfecting tubs and drying stations after each client use, vacuuming pet hair and debris, laundry of soiled towels, general clean-up, etc. Opens and closes the store as needed. Cashiering and balancing of the POS system at the beginning and end of each shift. Perform opening and closing duties. Collaborate with other Team Members for smooth operations. Performs nail trims (training available)
Qualifications:
You must be capable of accomplishing tasks independently, while also working as a part of a team Must be 18 years of age. Dog and/or Cat nail trim experience preferred, but not required as training can be provided. Previous experience in customer service or the pet industry is preferred but not required. Dependable, punctual and efficient. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively High level of customer service Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30lbs.
