Part-Time or Full-Time About the Position Social Abilities Provider Agency is seeking a dependable, and compassionate individual to join our Day Support Activities (DSA) Program. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and helping adults with developmental disabilities participate in meaningful community experiences. This person will be responsible for transporting participants, supporting community activities, and working collaboratively with a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to ensure a safe, engaging, and positive environment throughout the day. Job Responsibilities Safely operate and drive a 15-passenger transit van. Pick up and transport participants to and from scheduled activities. Meet with a group of participants and staff throughout the Portland metro area. Assist with implementing daily community-based activities and outings. Work closely with a team of DSPs to support participant success. Monitor group dynamics and maintain participant safety in community settings. Redirect challenging behaviors using positive support strategies. Provide reminders and encouragement to help participants stay with the group and follow schedules. Assist participants with money management during community outings. Support participants in developing independence, social skills, and community engagement. Complete required documentation and incident reports as needed. Maintain professional communication with participants, families, and team members. Qualifications Valid Oregon Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to drive a 15-passenger van safely and confidently. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills. Ability to manage and supervise a group in community settings. Reliable, punctual, and team oriented.
