Join Community Access Services as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Salem, Oregon and help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live independent, fulfilling lives. We're currently hiring multiple full-time DSPs in Salem for a variety of schedules, including day shifts, evening shifts, and overnight DSP positions. Whether you have experience or are completely new to the field, we provide all training needed to succeed. What Does a Direct Support Professional Do? As a DSP, you'll provide person-centered support that helps individuals thrive at home and in their community. Every day is different, rewarding, and impactful.
Responsibilities Include:
Building positive, supportive relationships with individuals served Assisting with daily living activities such as cooking, personal care, hygiene, and household tasks Supporting community outings, appointments, recreation, and personal goals Encouraging independence, confidence, and skill development Administering medications and completing documentation accurately Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment Advocating for the choices, dignity, and well-being of the people you support Qualifications for the DSP Position Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Ability to pass a national background check Ability to become an approved company driver Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility support Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented mindset Why You'll Love Working at
