Our focus is to hire and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help people build independence, maintain routines, and stay connected to their communities in meaningful ways. Role Overview We are hiring an entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide consistent, structured care for individuals of all ages in the Yamhill County area. (No prior DSP experience required - paid training provided.) This role centers around: Supporting daily routines and household structure Assisting with community-based activities and errands Encouraging independence while maintaining clear expectations Behavioral support Emotional regulation Crisis support This is a strong fit for someone who is consistent, patient, and confident maintaining boundaries in a supportive way . Here are some examples of the current customers that are available: Customer 300: Young adult male in Jefferson who is looking for a provider who is into computers and maybe has a background in building computers, coding and video games. This customer enjoys going for walks and trying new recipes and attending community events. What the schedule might look like: flexible days, up to 15 hours/week Customer 137: Teenage female in Salem who is looking for a provider that likes to play board games and work on craft projects. Needs help with emotional regulation, verbal prompts to complete household chores and cues for personal hygiene. What the schedule might look like: Tuesday-Friday 2pm to 4 or 5pm Customer 445: Adolescent Male in Keizer who needs assistance in learning self care skills, clear communication and socializing with kids their age. This customer loves to read books, listen to music and has a special interest in fish. What the schedule might look like: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-2pm Customer 367: Young adult female in Aurora who is looking for a provider to transport them into the community to attend events and activities. Must be ok with assisting with toileting and cleaning up accidents. What the schedule might look like: Sunday 12am-3pm, 3pm-9pm or 9pm-midnight, Monday, Tuesdaay, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-9pm or 9pm-midnight Customer 135: Preteen Male in Salem who is looking for a provider to accompany him to church for kids service. Customer enjoys going to the pool and the zoo. Customer is unstable and uses a wheelchair when out in public;. He enjoys books and bouncing a ball. What the schedule might look like: Sunday 11am-2:30pm and 3-4 shifts Monday-Friday with flexible hours Customer 246: Adult female in Salem who needs a provider to support her while at work. Weekend support includes assisting with household chores and then doing fun activities like art, swimming, getting Dutch Bros and going on the carousel. Customer also needs assistance managing behaviors. What the schedule may look like: Friday and Saturday flexible times What You'll Do Support daily living routines (meals, hygiene, organization) Assist with community access (shopping, errands, outings) Provide emotional regulation support using calm, structured approaches Maintain clear boundaries and consistent expectations Assist with household upkeep and organization Encourage independence and personal responsibility Communicate updates with care teams and complete required documentation Help maintain a safe, predictable, and respectful environment Compensation & Benefits $23-$25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Paid training Flexible schedule based upon the customers needs Full-time employees (30+ hours/week) may be eligible for: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401(k) with employer match (3% Match) Paid Time Off (PTO)
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Current auto insurance (meeting state requirements) Ability to pass a background check (not all records are disqualifying) Comfortable supporting personal care needs
Preferred:
