Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented In Home Care Administrative Assistant to support our home care services team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a compassionate attitude, and the ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring smooth communication between clients, caregivers, and management, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in coordinating schedules, managing documentation, and providing exceptional support to enhance the overall client experience. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals via phone, email, and in person. Coordinate caregiver schedules to ensure timely and appropriate coverage for client needs. Maintain accurate records of client information, service plans, and caregiver documentation in compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with onboarding new clients by gathering necessary documentation and explaining service procedures. Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling to optimize operational efficiency. Support billing processes by verifying service hours and processing invoices accurately. Prepare reports and correspondence related to client care and administrative operations as needed. Foster positive relationships with clients and caregivers through professional communication and attentive service. Experience Prior 1 year experience in home care services is required. Strong proficiency in office management software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of healthcare documentation standards, privacy laws (such as HIPAA), and scheduling systems is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information discreetly with a high level of confidentiality. A background in customer service or client relations will be considered an asset. From $28.00 per hour
