DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including assisted living, memory care, and home care environments. Duties As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include: Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of individuals. Supporting clients in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Assisting with mobility and lifting clients as necessary to ensure their safety and comfort. Implementing individualized care plans and documenting progress accurately. Engaging clients in social activities and promoting community involvement. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients. Experience Candidates should possess the following experience or skills: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in assisted living settings is preferred. Familiarity with memory care practices and patient care techniques is highly desirable. Experience in caregiving, hospice care, or home care environments is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
