Job Description

Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. Whether assisting with personal hygiene, meal preparation, or medication management, your dedication will help clients thrive in a safe and caring environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in home health, long-term care, and community support while fostering meaningful relationships with those you serve. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes in condition promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to care plans for accurate record-keeping. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental health and emotional well-being. Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice support to address complex needs compassionately. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and relevant caregiving credentials are highly desirable. Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition and respond appropriately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
