Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. This rewarding position involves providing personalized support, ensuring safety, and promoting independence in a variety of care settings including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. Your dedication will help clients maintain dignity, comfort, and well-being every day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and comfort. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their overall condition to detect changes or concerns promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in compliance with healthcare standards. Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a safe, sanitary environment for clients in their homes or care facilities. Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations are required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's care or hospice care are a plus. Ability to work with individuals with dementia, memory care needs, autism spectrum disorder, or other special conditions requiring specialized support. Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and respond appropriately to emergent situations. Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's . Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, families, and social workers. Experience working in group home settings or long-term care environments is highly desirable. Join us in making a meaningful difference! Pay:
$13.50 - $14.00 per hour
