Job Description and Responsibilities:

As a Direct Supprt Professional (DSP) you will support IDD (Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) clients in reaching the goals outlined in their Service Plan. Participate in community integration activities and social engagements with clients. Provide companionship and engaging activities, such as reading and taking walks. Accompany clients to appointments when necessary. Engage in team meetings to share insights about the client's progress. Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping tasks as needed. You will collaborate closely with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure that each individual's needs and preferences are met with respect and dignity. Effective communication and empathy are vital for building strong, trusting relationships with those you support.
