Job Description
Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Home Health Aide (HHA), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, personalized care to individuals in their homes. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing essential support with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional encouragement. As an HHA, you will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote independence, comfort, and well-being in a safe and nurturing environment. Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance comfort and dignity Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing symptoms, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare providers Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation standards while respecting HIPAA regulations Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments through tailored activities and attentive supervision Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems accurately to document care activities and patient progress Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, wound care, and using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety guidelines Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients Support hospice or palliative care needs with compassion and sensitivity during difficult times Engage patients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Requirements Proven experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic medical documentation Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is highly valued Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and family members Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for home visits Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, patient-centered care Join us in making a positive impact every day!
