Who We Are Messiah Lifeways is a non-profit organization located in Mechanicsburg, PA, that provides a network of services for adults, 55 and better living in South Central PA. Our roots trace back to 1896, when the Brethren in Christ Church founded Messiah Home in Harrisburg, PA, to serve older adults with Christ-like love. Who You Are The Home Care Assistant is charged with providing personal care and related services to clients according to the Care Plan developed with the client/and or family, under the supervision of the Director of Community Support Services. Being tasked with assisting clients with daily activities. To be successful in this role, you'll need to have knowledge of/experience in the following: Proficiency in technology and systems management

• Office Suite (Microsoft), Databases Organized and detail-oriented-with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently Customer-focused professional
• known for delivering warm, attentive, and solution-oriented service to clients Effective and efficient communicator
• Proficient in oral and written communication across diverse audiences What You'll Do Perform personal care tasks related to personal hygiene and physical needs according to the client's Care Plan.

These tasks could include assisting an individual with bathing, toileting, grooming and dressing Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards to support the well-being of both the client and the caregiver Adhere to established procedures and promote safe work practices to ensure a consistently safe and health working environment Participating in team conferences relating to assigned clients as required Complete client notes at the end of every shift Assist clients with transferring and ambulation. This could include transferring clients, including the aid of a mechanical lift when properly trained.
