Duties Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Support patients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safety during movement Assist with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans and provide direct support for individuals with disabilities or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs requiring medical attention Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia enhances your candidacy Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for patient support Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for community-based care roles Join us in delivering compassionate care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and independently.
