Morning We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Companion to provide social support and companionship to a participant residing in a nursing home. This role focuses on improving quality of life through conversation, activities, and positive engagement. Schedule Approximately 9 hours per week Morning hours Weekly schedule in a nursing home setting Responsibilities Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction Engage the participant in conversation and activities Accompany the participant during walks or activities within the facility Encourage participation in recreational activities Provide supervision and ensure participant comfort and safety Assist with light non-medical support as needed Communicate any concerns or changes in participant condition to the supervisor Maintain accurate documentation of visits and services provided Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) Valid driver's license (required) Experience in human services (preferred) Ability to pass background checks and required clearances Ability to perform the physical duties of the position Benefits Paid training Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) retirement plan Additional Opportunities Candidates interested in more hours may also have the opportunity to work additional shifts as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Upper Darby.
