In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where clients can thrive. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day through direct caregiving, behavioral support, and community engagement. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and social skills Support clients in community outings, recreational activities, and educational programs Collect data on client progress and behavior to inform care plans and report outcomes Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately Use effective communication skills, including American Sign Language if applicable, to facilitate understanding and interaction Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and responding promptly to emergencies Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health needs Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving in home or community settings Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking progress and behavior patterns Valid driver's license with reliable transportation for community outings or appointments Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Join us in making a positive impact!
