We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team serving Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with diverse needs, empowering them to live fulfilling, independent lives. Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and resident's . Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards. Support medication administration and help develop and follow personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with meal planning, and ensure proper food safety and hygiene practices are maintained. Engage clients in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning patient areas and communal spaces. Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with healthcare regulations and assist with patient monitoring during shifts. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly preferred. Certification or training in first aid, CPR, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and handle physical tasks required for patient care. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of distress or health changes. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Valid driver's license may be required for community outings or transportation duties.
