Towanda, PA Private Household Employer/Participant Directed Services Pay:

$20/hour + On the job mileage reimbursement

Schedule:

1-2 days weekly between the hours of 11:00 AM-5:00 PM Are you someone who is patient, dependable, and enjoys helping others live meaningful lives ? Do you love pets, farm animals, gardening, outdoor activities? A gentleman with mild intellectual disabilities in Towanda is looking for a part-time support to assist him with daily living and community activities. He enjoys gardening, taking daily walks, running errands and food shopping, gluten-free cooking, researching on the computer, and reading together. Seasonally he is interested in hunting and fishing. He is looking for someone who shares those interests. This is a tobacco-free household.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support with daily living tasks in-home and in the community.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and outings.
• Join in recreational and social activities.
• Follow gluten-free recipes, help with errands and household routines.
• Accurately complete documentation and records.
• Communicate and collaborate with the individual's family.
• Bring positivity, patience, and joy each day.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license, insurance, registration, and reliable vehicle Willingness to undergo background checks Physically able to walk and assist with mobility tasks Physically able to work outdoors, stand for long periods of time, lift up to 40 pounds. Experience in intellectual disabilities preferred but not required.
