Job Description

Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following HIPAA regulations and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and maintain cleanliness in shared living spaces to promote a healthy environment Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to foster socialization and mental stimulation Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports in accordance with facility policies Ensure safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting or physical assistance tasks while prioritizing resident comfort and dignity Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia or Alzheimer's disease is highly desirable Experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care plan implementation required Certification in First Aid and CPR is essential; additional training in hospice care or memory care is a plus Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards necessary to protect resident information Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, families, and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care Join us as a Direct Support Professional where your compassion fuels positive change! Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
