Individuals in recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges Position Summary All of Us in Recovery is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and recovery-oriented Certified Peer Support Specialist to provide services to individuals enrolled in North Dakota's Medicaid 1915(i) Home and Community-Based Services program. In this role, you will use your lived experience to support individuals as they work toward their short- and long-term recovery goals. Through person-centered and trauma-informed support, you will help individuals build independence, strengthen community connections, and improve their overall well-being. Key Responsibilities Support individuals in achieving goals identified in their individualized care plans through one-on-one peer support using lived experience. Provide mentorship, encouragement, and recovery-oriented support to promote hope, resilience, and ongoing wellness. Assist individuals transitioning to community-based living and services. Support the development of coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, self-advocacy, and informed decision-making. Connect individuals with community resources, recovery supports, and behavioral health, healthcare, housing, and social service systems. Encourage engagement in treatment, recovery activities, and community involvement. Documentation & Compliance Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with North Dakota 1915(i) requirements and agency policies. Maintain participant confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required trainings. Follow all applicable state, federal, and program requirements. Adhere to peer support ethical guidelines and standards of practice Qualifications Required Current North Dakota Certified Peer Support Specialist certification , or the ability to obtain certification within required timelines. Lived experience with recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges, either personally or as a family member. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to pass all required state and federal background checks for 1915(i) service providers. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the service area. Preferred Experience providing peer support, case management, housing support, or behavioral health services. Knowledge of North Dakota 1915(i) services, community resources, and local housing programs. Familiarity with recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices.
