Abound Health Abound Health is seeking a caring, structured, and routine-oriented Host Family in or near Williamsport, Pennsylvania to support a 26-year-old man who is ready to grow his independence through Life Sharing. He currently lives with family, and while this is not an emergency placement, his team believes he will thrive with a non-relative who can offer consistent expectations, patient guidance, and a calm, supportive home environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals or families who value routine, enjoy community involvement, and are committed to helping someone build confidence and daily living skills through steady, relationship-based support. About the Individual He is a capable, friendly, and community-minded young adult who benefits from structure and predictable routines. At home, he may become argumentative when prompted by family members, but he responds well to clear expectations and consistent follow-through from non-relatives. He does best in environments where routines are steady, communication is calm, and household expectations are clear. Remaining close to Williamsport is important, as regular visits with his family are a positive and meaningful part of his life. Abound Health provides emergency support, respite coordination, and clinical consultation Host Family Requirements To qualify, families must: Be Pennsylvania residents (Williamsport area strongly preferred) Be at least 21 years old Pass required background checks (FBI, child abuse, criminal) Complete home inspections and meet safety standards Provide personal and professional references Participate in interviews and a matching assessment Be willing to include him in meals, routines, activities, and family life Training Provided at No Cost All Host Families receive: ODP-approved Life Sharing Orientation Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness Medication Administration (if applicable) Individual Rights & Person-Centered Planning Ongoing annual training (e.g., trauma-informed care, dignity & respect)
