This program is centered around the importance of the transition from school-based services to adulthood. Direct Support Professionals ensure that the student's goals from their Individual Education Plans are carried out across all environments and settings. Part-time positions are available to work with high school students with special needs in various community settings. Typical schedules are Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-3:00pm, with shifts available in the Providence and Warwick areas. In this role, you will focus on the vocational needs of students who are in their final years of high school, by enhancing their future work potential and preparing them for the upcoming transition into adulthood. The Direct Support Professionals job responsibility is to provide support with the following: Daily Living Skills (including specialized personal care) Meeting Academic Requirements Job/Internship Development Money & Budgeting Skills Volunteer and Public Service Opportunities

REQUIREMENTS

: A favorable background check A safe driving record Access to an insured vehicle HS Diploma or GED equivalent
