Aiken, SC Job Details Part-time | Full-time | PRN $13 - $15 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Inpatient Hospital medicine Medical-surgical Meal preparation Bathing assistance Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and safety for individuals in need of care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for patients, particularly in clinical environments such as inpatient and outpatient facilities, including geriatrics, emergency medicine, and medical-surgical units. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients. Help with mobility assistance and transferring patients safely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas. Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required. Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as clinics, hospitals (including Level II Trauma Centers), and specialized units like PICU or OR. Requirements Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or similar role preferred. Knowledge of geriatric care practices is a plus. Familiarity with hospital medicine protocols and procedures is advantageous. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency medicine or inpatient care settings. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
