Job Description
Job Summary Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Medication Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or Caregiver, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient and resident support, assist with daily activities, and ensure the highest standards of safety and comfort. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills within assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or home care settings. Responsibilities Assist residents or patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately following physician orders and document medication administration in medical records or electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly. Support specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, tube feeding, and other physiology-related tasks while ensuring patient safety. Collaborate with nursing staff to update patient care plans and assist in medical record keeping using EMR systems. Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being in senior or hospice patients. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology essential for accurate patient care. Experience with medical documentation systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous. Familiarity with caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease enhances your ability to deliver specialized memory care. Proven ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in diverse settings. Previous roles involving medication administration and vital signs monitoring reinforce your readiness for this position. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management ensures confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
