Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and empathy will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This rewarding role offers an opportunity to provide essential assistance in various settings, including assisted living facilities, group homes, and home health environments. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for those you serve. Paid positions are available, emphasizing our commitment to valuing your skills and contributions. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans under supervision or as trained Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks, laundry assistance, and infection control practices Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer residents or clients with mobility challenges Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging residents in social activities to promote mental well-being Document patient observations accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding any concerns or changes in condition Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health care settings preferred Familiarity with patient observation techniques, medication administration, and care plan implementation Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or nursing assistant credentials are a plus Experience using patient monitoring devices and understanding vital signs measurement is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety protocols Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to supporting individuals with disabilities or age-related conditions Join us in providing exceptional personal care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives. Pay:
$14.00 - $15.25 per hour
