Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring dedicated support. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Your energetic and caring approach will help enhance the quality of life for residents across various care settings, including assisted living, memory care, and home health environments. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while fostering a positive, supportive atmosphere for those in your care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans under supervision Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and infection control practices Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for residents with dementia or autism Requirements Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer's or memory care needs Certifications in First Aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance, and medication administration are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks involving residents' transfers or mobility assistance Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and family members Demonstrated compassion, patience, and dedication to providing high-quality patient care Experience working within care plans and supporting patients' social work needs is advantageous Join us in delivering exceptional personal care that truly makes a difference!
