Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently while following care plans. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to healthcare professionals. Assist with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens. Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living environment through light housekeeping tasks. Implement direct support strategies for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Experience Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or senior care is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques that cater to specific dietary needs. Experience in providing direct support to individuals with autism or similar conditions is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential. A compassionate demeanor combined with patience and understanding when working with diverse populations.
