Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide compassionate, respectful, and personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in assisted living facilities, home care environments, or community settings, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality care that enhances quality of life for those you serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report changes to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining HIPAA compliance to ensure patient confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely move residents with limited mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning routines and adherence to infection control standards Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress to update care plans and ensure personalized support Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, autism support, or hospice care is advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically assist residents using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, and families Commitment to maintaining HIPAA standards and respecting client confidentiality at all times Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
